Aki Is Live in Santos, São Paulo
Our first corridor is active. Santos is where Aki began — meet the vendors, the beaches, and the community behind our São Paulo pilot.
— Aki Team
Santos is where it all started. When we decided to launch Aki corridor by corridor, Santos was the obvious first choice — Brazil's largest port city, home to some of the most iconic urban beaches in the country, and a thriving community of informal vendors who had been waiting for exactly this kind of tool.
The Corridor
The Santos activation covers the full 7km orla — from Ponta da Praia to José Menino — encompassing dozens of active vendors across food, beverages, crafts, and services. Each vendor was onboarded individually, with dedicated support to set up their digital storefront, photograph their products, and understand the platform.
The Vendors
From cold coconut water carts to grilled corn stands, from artisanal jewelry makers to fresh fruit vendors — Santos has it all. Our pilot launched with 40 vendors and has grown to over 120 active profiles, each with menus, photos, reviews, and real-time location.
Early Results
In the first three months, Santos vendors processed over 4,200 orders through Aki. Average vendor revenue increased by 34%. Customer satisfaction scores averaged 4.7 out of 5. And 91% of vendors said they would recommend Aki to another vendor in their community.
What's Next
Santos is proof that the model works. Every lesson we learned here is shaping how we expand to every new corridor. This is just the beginning.
